I'm actually leaning more toward an Accounting degree with Software Development as my minor. I just have had a lot of experience with Accounting and such so I've decided that's what I want to do. I'm still gonna keep going with software development, mostly to keep telling myself I can still have fun making things even if I'm going into an office job. I'm actually joining a fraternity on campus, which in all honesty I thought I never would do. But other than that, it's been pretty great.

Dude, that sounds like a magnificent plan. My dad's a tax accountant, and I think he's had a pretty awesome career! He works for a multi-national corporation and specializes in international tax, so he's gotten to travel to a ton of awesome countries (The UK, France, Korea, Egypt, Indonesia, Sweden), and I think the core of his job is really challenging, stimulating stuff.

And software development skills can absolutely help in an accounting career. So much of my dad's job is building and maintaining vast systems of infinitely complex Excel spreadsheets, and if you can code MS Office macros, dude - you'll bring so much value to an organization. I think that's a deadly, highly-employable combination of skills. You shouldn't have any problems finding work when you graduate.

What's your favorite class so far, man? Which one is your least favorite?
